Employment Stagnates in PA

Hiring in Pennsylvania is on the rise, but overall employment remained relatively stagnant for a fourth straight month. The state Department of Labor and Industry said Thursday that the jobless rate rose to 7.5 percent in June, after two months at 7.4 percent. The national rate was 8.2 percent in June. It estimated that 16,000 more people were looking for work, with just 3,000 more finding it.
