Shroyer may return to court this morning

The McKean County teen accused of hitting a man more than two dozen times in the head with a hammer-like object has a scheduled court appearance today. It was allegedly a drug deal gone bad at the Hotel Holley in Bradford on January 22nd. Today, 19-year old Larry Shroyer of Derrick City should appear in court for a preliminary hearing…although prosecutors say it’s not uncommon for the hearings to be postponed at the last minute.  Shroyer is accused of attacking a 56-year old Buffalo man. Prosecutors believe the attack was the result of a bad drug deal. Shroyer remains jailed in Smethport on $150,000 bail.

Bradford teen will like face more charges

As expected, a Bradford teen will be facing additional and potentially more serious charges…the result of a weekend attack on a 56-year old man at the Hotel Holley in Bradford. 19-year old Larry Shroyer Jr remains jailed on $100,000 bail. Authorities say the teen allegedly used a hammer-like weapon to assault a man in what prosecutors are saying appears to have been a drug deal gone bad. The victim was struck at least 18 times with the weapon…he remains hospitalized.  District Attorney Ray Learn says the investigating in onging.

Bradford hammer attack likely drug related

New details have emerged in the weekend hammer attack at the Hotel Holley in Bradford. McKean County District Attorney Ray Learn says the crime appears to have been a drug deal gone bad. 56-year old James White of Buffalo was struck in the head at least 18 times with a hammer-like weapon…allegedly by 19-year old Larry Shroyer of Bradford.  The teen remains jailed on $100,000 bail on felony assault charges. Meanwhile, White remains hospitalized this morning…he too may face drug-related charges.

Bradford teen alleged to have hit man in head with hammer

A Bradford teen was jailed last night on $100,000 bail. 19-year old Larry Shroyer Jr. was charged with aggravated and simple assault and recklessly endangering another person. According to police, the teen allegedly injured 56-year old James White of Buffalo while the two were at the Hotel Holley in Bradford. According to the criminal complaint, Shroyer is alleged to have struck White more than a dozen times in the head with a hammer-like weapon. White was hospitalized in serious condition. During his arraignment, Shroyer was ordered held at the McKean County jail.
