Weight Limit set on Bridge on Rt. 219

You'll have to watch your weight when you head up Route 219. A new weight limit is being applied to a troubled bridge that was previously shut down. The State Department of Transportation has posted a maximum weight limit for vehicles crossing the old 219 bridge over Cattaraugus Creek. Effective today, the limit will be 15 tons. Motorists with vehicles over 15 tons will have to find an alternate route.
