Cattaraugus County Health Department Shares Tips

Rabies remains an ongoing public health problem across the state. This deadly virus can spread to pets as well as to people in contact with rabid animals. The health department wants people to be reminded to keep pets vaccinated and avoid contact with wildlife including bats, raccoons, skunks and foxes.
