NYS Police Successful in Undercover Drug Trafficking Probe


A yearlong undercover drug trafficking probe referred to as “operation Babcock” has been successful. Recently the New York State narcotics C-Net unit and the NY attorney generals organized crime task force arrested 24 people involved with the distribution of cocaine in Erie, Allegany, Cattaruagus, and Genesee Counties. Law enforcement seized about 15 pounds of cocaine and over 58 thousand dollars in cash. The first indictment charges 22 defendants with 95 counts of criminal sale and possession of controlled substances, conspiracy charges and more.
