Four people were hurt in a three vehicle crash on Route 155
in Eldred Monday afternoon. Police said 89-year old Herbert Potter of Port
Allegany crossed into the oncoming lane, struck a van which in turn struck a
third vehicle. His passenger, 88-year old Elberta Potter suffered major
injuries. The other drivers were 30-year old Shannon York of Port Allegany and
36-year old Steven Miller of Smethport. Authorities said they also sustained
major injuries. Potter was issued a traffic ticket.
