Olean parents to learn where kids will go to school

Olean parents should learn with certainty tomorrow night where their children will be going to schoolA bid to stop the sale of buildings and the re-assignment of students has been shot down by New York’s Education Commissioner. When the Olean Board of Education meets Tuesday evening, it will likely give final approval to a plan which determines which schools students will attend. IJN and Boardmanville schools will close in June. A plan for assigning students was tabled earlier this morning to allow parents time to react. The school district has published information on its website. The Board meets in the Olean High School Auditorium tomorrow night at 6:30.
