Cattaraugus-Little Valley school board meets

Another school district may vote tonight to close a building.  For the last three months, the Cattaraugus-Little Valley school board has been wrestling with financial matters. One possible solution…closing the Little Valley campus and sending students to the Cattaraugus building. Opponents of the plan say they were told 14 years ago Little Valley would always have an elementary buildings…But lawyers say the current Board doesn’t have to honor that promise. Administrators say the closure will help stabilize the district’s finances. However, some additional staffing cuts may still be needed. The Board meets at 6:30 tonight at the Cattaraugus campus.
