Olean: some county workers meet with lawmakers over layoffs

Some Cattaraugus County legislators will meet with this afternoon with some potentially soon to be “ex” county employees.Two dozen county Community Service employees and clinicians may be out of a job by the end of summer. The county has opted to contract out for those services in an effort to save money. But some lawmakers have agreed to take a second look…or at least listen to the concerns of the mental health workers. The meeting is set for 5pm in Olean.
