"Doctor" heads to federal court this week

The case against a former doctor moves to federal court in Buffalo this week. WVTT’S Ashley Gray has been following the story: Dr. Fitzgerald Hudson had worked at Jones Memorial in Wellsville and a second western New York hospital. Now he faces fraud charges. Federal prosecutors say his license to practice medicine in New York was revoked two years ago and his original credentials are also under review. Right now, the former doctor is accused of bilking the system by charging Medicare and Medicaid some $200,000…reimbursements not eligible to people who are not doctors! Hudson’s attorney has refused to comment.
