Wellsville man and woman, Olean man arrested by Allegany County Sheriff

Allegany County Sheriff Rick Whitney reports that following an ongoing investigation into the possession and sales of prescription narcotics, Narcotics Unit Investigators from the Sheriff’s Office, with assistance from the Wellsville Police Department, arrested Jeffrey C. Densmore, age 32, of 2871 Florida Avenue, Wellsville, for 2 counts of Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the 5th Degree and Criminal Sale of a Controlled Substance in the 5th Degree.

The charges stem from incidents during July 2011 in the Village of Wellsville and Town of Friendship where Densmore sold Suboxone to an Agent of the Sheriff’s Office Narcotics Unit.   
Densmore was arraigned before Wellsville Village Justice Christopher O’Conner where he was remanded to the Allegany County Jail on $20,000 Cash Bail or $40,000 Insurance Company Bond. He is scheduled to reappear on February 21st in Wellsville Village Court at 9:00 a.m. and Friendship Town Court at 6:30 p.m.

                     

Sheriff Whitney also reports that Deputies, with assistance from Olean City Police, arrested Matthew H. Mapes, 24, of 805 West Henley Street, Olean, on a Violation of Probation Warrant out of the Town of Friendship. Mapes was originally convicted in September 2009 with Criminal Contempt in the 2nd Degree and Aggravated Harassment in the 2nd Degree. He was arraigned in Town of Cuba Court and was remanded to the Allegany County Jail on $2000 cash bail or $4000 Bond. Mapes is scheduled to appear in the Town of Friendship Court on February 14, 2011. Further Charges are pending in Allegany County Family Court.

Also arrested by Deputies assigned to Building Security at the Allegany County Office Building was Sheena M. Nelson, 27, of 116 Stevens Street, Wellsville, on a Superior Court Warrant signed by Allegany County Judge Thomas Brown.  Nelson allegedly violated the terms of her interim probation as assigned by the Allegany County Drug Court. She was arraigned in Allegany County Court and was remanded to the Allegany County Jail without bail. Nelson is scheduled to appear in Allegany County Drug Court on February 16th at 9:30 a.m.
