 On Monday, State Police arrested Thomas A. McCormick, age 50, from Hornell, NY for Hindering Prosecution in the 1st degree (D-Felony). The arrest is the result of the September 27, 2011 incident where Richard E. VanGorden shot at Uniformed Troopers during a traffic stop in the Town of Hornellsville. It is alleged that McCormick provided VanGorden with criminal assistance during the investigation. McCormick was arraigned before T/Hornellsville Judge Gretchen McManhus and committed to the Steuben County Jail on $5000.00 bail. He is to reappear in T/C Hornellsville on March 12, 2012 at 6:00 P.M. |
