A two year probation sentence was handed down this morning to Rev. Samuel Slocum. Acquitted of more serious charges, Slocum was convicted of having an inappropriate relationship with a teenage boy. In addition, Slocum was ordered to have no unsupervised contact with minors and absolutely no contact with the victim and his family. The judge also fined him $300 and directed him to perform 100 hours of community service. In January,a jury found Slocum guilty of concealing the whereabouts of a child and corruption of minors.
