WHO: Kenneth Hall, Director of Human and Cultural Diversity at Lock Haven University

WHEN:  Thursday, March 8th at 6:30pm - 7:30pm

BACKGROUND:  Kenneth Hall, Director of Human and Cultural Diversity at Lock Haven University, will discuss the social & economic impact of the influx of gas workers from the natural gas industry, particularly the Marcellus Shale play.

Marianne Hazel, LHU Clearfield Campus Interim Dean and Associate Provost, shared, "We're pleased to be offering this presentation as part of our LHU Clearfield Campus speaker series, as the Marcellus shale industry grows in our area.  The social impact of the natural gas industry is an area that our local communities may be exploring, as diverse populations blend in our area.  Mr. Hall has a vast knowledge of diversity issues, and we're excited to learn from his experiences and research."

The LHU Clearfield Speaker Series is an outreach program for the campus and community made by physicians, faculty, and other community members.  The speaker series is one way LHU Clearfield Campus is looking to strengthen the campus relationship with the community.

The presentation is open to the public with no admission fee and complimentary refreshments will be available to all guests.
