2011 Kane Citizen and Business of the Year Announced!

The Board of Directors of the Kane Chamber of Commerce is pleased to honor and celebrate the 2011 Citizen of the Year.
This year's recipient has been an integral part of the Kane community, leading many efforts to support the Kane Borough and other community organizations.  It has been mentioned that one cannot walk a block in Kane without passing one of the many projects in which he was deeply involved.
In addition to serving our country in the Vietnam War and our children as a school teacher, he was also involved in the following organizations:
    • United Methodist Church
    • Kane Borough Council
    • Kane Borough Sewer Authority
    • Kane Rotary Club
    • Kane Area Community Center
    • Kane Community Hospital Board
    • Kane Area Industrial Development Corporation
    • Kane Chamber of Commerce
    • Kane Fish and Game Club
    • Kane Country Club
    • McKean County Assessment Appeals Board
    • Veterans of Foreign War
    • Allegheny National Forest Visitor's Bureau

Never willing to take a break and always willing to lend a hand, this year's recipient worked hard to not only promote development in our region but to also share with everyone his extensive knowledge and sound advice.  Please help us celebrate the late Mr. Jim Salvamoser as the Citizen of the Year.
A dinner is scheduled in his honor for Thursday, January 26th 2012 at the Kane Country Club. The event is slated to begin with cocktails at 5:00 p.m. and the ceremony at 6:00 p.m.  Tickets for the event are now available at the Kane Chamber of Commerce Office, 54 Fraley Street.  Please call 814-837-6565 or email director@kanepa.com with questions or to make reservations. The last day to RSVP is Friday, January 20th. The event will also honor the Kane Eagles as Business of the Year.
