Congressman Reed Clashes with Opponent Over Legislations

Congressman Tom Reed defended himself yesterday after his opponent Nate Shinigawa released a statement claiming that Reed has not passed any legislation while in office. Shinigawa says that Reed has spent two years in Congress, sponsored over fifty pieces of legislation, and none of the bills he has sponsored have become public law, let alone passed the House despite his own party being in power. Reed’s office fired back and said that the public may research for themselves the status of individual bills and other specific legislative information on the Congressman’s website reed.house.gov. To verify whether or not a bill has passed, simply search by bill number for the 112th Congress and see “Latest Major Action” It is also possible to search for legislation under Reed's name.
