St. Bonaventure University officials announced yesterday that they have purchased the Uni-Mart property across the street for the university’s main entrance on Route 417. The Board of Trustees approved the purchase in fall 2011 to ensure that the properties closest to Bonaventure advance and support the university’s Franciscan mission. This purchase puts St. Bonaventure in control of the four corners that make up the main entrance. The demolition of the Uni-Mart space began yesterday.
