The $5.6 million Good Times of Olean project was approved at Monday night’s planning board meeting. The board unanimously approved the project and gave the OK to begin construction after community members expressed their excitement. ETJM Properties of Portville plans to construct a nearly 40,000 square foot recreation center that includes 24 bowling lanes, miniature golf, volleyball courts, batting cages and an open field for various activities. DBP Realty owner Dennis Pezzimenti said this is great for Olean because it has the potential to create up to 80 jobs. Crews were at the sight today clearing brush, and Pezzimenti said the East State Street construction won’t affect their progress. Good Times of Olean is expected to be finished in the spring of next year.
