School is Starting, Be Mindful on the Road

As the new school year begins, The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation wants to remind drivers to remain vigilant as students andschool buses return to the roadways. According to PennDot Secretary Barry Schoch, motorists should avoid distractions when driving behind a school bus to make sure that everyone stays safe. By law, motorists approaching from all directions are required to stop at least 10 feet from a school bus when its red lights are flashing and its stop arm is extended.
