PA Governor Corbett Stepping Down From Chairman of Delaware Port Authority

Pennsylvania Governor Tom Corbett is stepping down as chairman of the board at the Delaware River Port Authority, which operates four Philadelphia-area bridges connecting New Jersey and Pennsylvania. Corbett appointed himself to the board last year despite controversy over a toll hike. Today he said he can step down now because he believes the board is now committed to the central mission of transportation.
