Developing Story...Tanker Tips Over in Kane

WVTT is continuing coverage on a chemical spill that is closing a section of Route 6 in and around Kane. Earlier this morning a tanker truck carrying about 8,000 gallons of Butane rolled over, spilling its contents. The Kane School District is closed today because of the spill. Crew are out working right new to clean up the effected areas and re-route traffic. We will continue to cover this story.

  8. You do realize that the "information" in your 6 oclock "news"cast wrong, don't you? Not to mention outdated by about 2 hours.

  9. "Mind your own business"? Is that how you respond to people who rely on you for information? Your "business" is supposed to be news isn't it? This mess should go viral and show just how much you really care about the area...as in , you obviously don't.

  10. Way to go Jeff and crew. What happened to "When News Breaks we're on the scene with the latest"? Nice way to show residents in Kane you are NOT The Voice Of The Twin Tiers.

If you really had the regions biggest news operation, you would've been the FIRST people to be covering this.

Oh, that's right.. you can't cover it because you don't have a studio in Kane anymore. Everything comes from your hole in the wall up in Olean.

  12. It has come to WVTT's attention that comments on our story titled, "Tanker Tips Over In Kane," is bringing negative attention. Two comments in particular, posted anonymously, under the pseudo names "Newsroom" and "News Radio," seem to coming right out of our offices. However, WVTT and it's news team did not have anything to do with the posting of anonymous comments. Remember, if WVTT and it's news team does post online, it would be under the name, "WVTT News Radio." We deeply apologize to anyone who has been offended by the postings. However, while we do accept constructive criticism in our comments section, those comments that cross the line are being deleted.
