Catt County Board of Health Discussing Smoking Ban Waivers

Smoking ban waivers were the topic addressed by the Cattaraugus County Board of Health this week. The board must discuss groups that have waivers to the Clean Indoor Air Act before they can issue applications for end of year renewals. Four groups have been granted the waivers since the Clean Indoor Air Act went into effect in 2004. That includes: Ischua Fire Department bingo, Olean Off Track Betting, Little Valley VFW 8734 and Rough Kutts of South Dayton. Members of the board said they have not received any complaints on any of the locations, but they still must check things out before they decide.
