Saturday Storm Left Damage in Cattaraugus and Allegany Counties

A huge storm hit Olean over the weekend. After a week of sweltering temperatures Olean is finally getting a break, but not after suffering some damages from the storm that hit on Saturday. The national Weather Service issued a storm warning for Cattaraugus and Allegany Counties Saturday afternoon cautioning residents that the thunderstorms could get pretty severe. The storm was so bad that there were areas where the power was out, the roads were flooded and the hard rain and storm winds knocked over trees. WVTT received exclusive photos from the areas hit hardest, and we will have that full story on the 6 o’clock report tonight.
