Olean Zoning Board to Discuss OGH Sign at Next Meeting

When the Olean Zoning Board of Appeals met last month, much of the topic center on the sign at Olean General Hospital. Some were concerned it obstructed traffic view and that where it is now was not included in the original construction plan. The Hopsital came to the meeting prepared to move the sign and brought drawings to show suggested locations. There was also concern about the question of the illumination of the sign, which again hospital officials said was a misunderstanding, and that the lights are on a sensor, but not married to the sign. Board members tabled further discussion and planned to visit the site to get a better idea of what moving the sign would mean. The Board will take up the matter at it's meeting tomorrow night at 6:30 in council chambers
