Congressman Reed Asks Senate to Increase REINS Act

Congressmen Tom Reed yesterday requested of the senate to charter upon increasing the Regulations from the Executive In Need of Scrutiny (REINS) Act without interruption. This act implores Congressional approval for new regulation which has at best 100 million in economic impact. At the end of 2011, there were 212 major regulations in the course which would have required Congressional authorization if the REINS Act was functioning.
