Olean Students Could See Advertisements in School

Students may notice advertising in their schools based on an upcoming decision to be made by the Olean School Board. The board will discuss the pros and cons of allowing companies to advertise within the school district. They used a football field scoreboard as an example of where ads could be placed and talked about how advertisement could increase revenue. Superintendent Colleen Taggerty said she sees the positive and the negatives in the controversial issue. The board will discuss the matter further and make a decision at the next meeting on August 7^th.
