A commercial sponsored by a group called Healthy Cattaraugus County: "a drug free Coalition" shot several scenes yesterday in two area locations of Olean. One of them being the Emergency room at Olean General Hospital. According to Coalition Coordinator Kathy Eade, the commercial will concentrate on the importance of stopping underage drinking, a dangerous activity that has become increasingly popular throughout teens in high school. The Coalition was granted $831,000 to help spread the dangers of under age drinking and the consequences that follow. A survey among teenagers in the area have shown 53 percent of teens grade 9-12 have consumed alcohol in a one-month period.
