The deadline for making a decision on the blackout policy established by the NFL was yesterday. The Buffalo Bills will join other small market football teams in terms of opting out of the NFL additional blackout policy, a decision that will leave some fans a little angry. Friday, the Buffalo Bills chief executive officer Russ Brandon determined that it would be better for the team if tickets remained lower in cost. It would result in selling more tickets and creating more revenue for the franchise. Home games will need to completely sell out seventy-two hours before kickoff or they will receive a penalty, a blackout.
