30th Annual Allegany Heritage Days to Begin this Week

The 30th annual Allegany Heritage Days will begin on Thursday. The theme of the 30th annual event will focus on the Civil War and local soldiers who served in the Union Army during the country’s bloodiest homeland battle.  Some of the tiems on display will include Grand Army of the Republic artifacts which will be in display at the Heritage Center.  Everything sold during the ice cream social,on Saturday, including strawberries, cake and ice cream, are donated by the public. Proceeds from the event, as well as from other activities during the day, benefit the Heritage Center.
