Senator Young Honors Two Local Heroes

Two men trapped in a motor vehicle accident are still alive today, and it’s thanks to the courageous efforts of three men who knew they could make a difference. Over the weekend Senator Catherine Young presented Liberty Medals to Jeremy Ellis, Josh Rhow and Michael Soper for their actions in response to a motor vehicle accident back in 2011. The crash happened on Interstate I-86 between Salamanca and Red House in October of last year. Two men were trapped inside their burning vehicles when Ellis and Rhow stopped to help after they saw the crash on their way to work. The two said they are always willing to help anyone whenever they can.
