Possible Changes in Biding Standards and Requirements

Council President and Alderman Jim Brady would like to see changes made to the Requests for Proposals for biding in Olean. Last night at the Committee of the Whole meeting prior to the Common Council meeting, Brady expressed that the city should have minimum standards and requirements for biding. The issue was first brought up at the May 22^nd meeting when the committee voted to issue an extended contract with the Olean Area Transit System. Brady would like to see the committee vote to re-bid the contract out next year in hopes of more competitive bidding. The actual vote on this matter was tabled.
