New Strategy for First Responders

Senator Kirsten Gillibrand is announcing a new strategy to help out first responders in the state. U.S. Senator Kirsten Gillibrand announced earlier this week a strategy to help secure the tools and resources that New York State’s first responders need to keep their communities safe. Senator Gillibrand is working on helping to fund the U.S. Department of Homeland Security’s budget, which would support local first responders’ staff and equipment. Gillibrand is also announcing workshops that first responders would be able to take part in to help them navigate the federal grant application process to secure the funding they need.
