Meth Lab Goes Up in Flames

A group of young adults in NY’s southern tier got busted as their plan to cook meth went up in smoke. Over the weekend, an explosion and fire at a trailer in Andover has led to the arrest of four people involved in the manufacturing of methamphetamine. State Police were investigating a Saturday night blast when they made the arrests. The suspects, Steven M. Weiss, 22, Elizabeth K. Martin, 21, and Angie M. Matison, 34, all of Andover, were processed by New York State Police based in Amity. They were arraigned yesterday morning in the town of Scio court. The fourth suspect, age 26, is in custody at Jones Memorial Hospital in Wellsville where he is being treated for 1st & 2nd Degree burns and smoke inhalation from the fire.
