The Cattaraugus County Legislators voted to amend a law that would allow the legislature to exceed the new two percent property tax cap at Wednesday night's meeting. However it was addressed in such a way that it was tabled for another vote at their next meeting on July 25. The legislature exceeded that tax cap by about 184 thousand dollars last year and will now have to figure out a way to make up for that deficit in this years tax levy.
