Tonight there will be a special meeting of the Olean Common
Council to vote on allowing the Mayor to sign an agreement with a third party
operator of the Olean Area Transit System. If the resolution passes the City
will sign an agreement with First Transit Inc. for the operation of the Olean
Area Transit System. This special meeting was called after a local Company Carrier
Coach brought up a complaint, asking the City to reconsider their bid at the
Common Council meeting last week.
