The cause of the massive Cameron County wildfire remains undetermined. The Grant Hill blaze started last Wednesday and for days, local and state firefighters worked to bring it under control. By Sunday, 116 acres had been scorched. No injuries were reported. Officials urged people to exercise extreme caution with outdoor fires. Meanwhile, in New York a statewide ban on open outdoor burning remains in effect for another month.
