Firefighters from the city and town of Olean were engaged in a water rescue at 5:45 this morning. Emergency officials say the rescue scene was off River Road, near the sewer treatment plant…WVTT news trackers are telling us the woman was holding on to a tree with her feet dangling in the Allegheny River. She was described as hypothermic. Just before 6am, police and fire crews were able to pull the woman to safety…The circumstances leading to the dramatic rescue are unclear.
