Task Force makes arrest in Allegany County

On April 12, 2012, the SOUTHERN TIER REGIONAL DRUG TASK FORCE, working in conjunction with the VILLAGE OF WELLSVILLE PD, TOWN OF INDEPENDENCE PD and NYSP AMITY uniform & BCI personnel, arrested DAVID PUSEY JR., 33, of Whitesville, NY, for the following charges:

two counts of Criminal Possession of a Weapon in the third degree (Class D Felony)
two counts of Criminal Possession of a Weapon in the fourth degree (Class A Misdemeanor)
one count of Criminal Possession of Stolen Property in the fourth degree (Class E Felony)
one count of Unlawful Manufacture of Methamphetamine in the third degree (Class D Felony)
The charges are based on an investigation conducted subsequent to the Wellsville PD’s arrest of PUSEY and information developed and provided by Officer P.J. SHERMAN of the Independence PD, which led to a search of PUSEY’s residence on Snow Road.
During the search, officers recovered a .45 cal. pistol believed to be stolen from Genesee, PA., a “cut down” 12 gauge shotgun, other long guns and a suspected “box lab,” containing equipment and chemicals used in the production of methamphetamine.
PUSEY was processed at SP Amity and arraigned in Village of Wellsville Court where he was remanded to the Allegany County Jail.
