Police in Smethport say they’ve located a vehicle involved in a car-pedestrian accident in the borough last week. In a news release, police said the driver thought he struck the handle-bar portion of an ATV being pushed on Marvin Street…and not a pedestrian. Police said the unnamed man did turn around and return to the scene…but when he did, police said he was allegedly assaulted by one of the men associated with the ATV. Police said that’s when the vehicle driver fled the scene…and they say charges will be filed against one of the other men.
