It may soon be easier to be a pedestrian in the city of Olean. The Common Council’s Committee of the Whole will be asked to approve transferring $30,000 to a resurfacing account for sidewalk repair work throughout the city. The mild winter has also left some extra money in the snow removal account. Tomorrow night, the Committee will consider moving $25,000 from that account into a sidewalk fund as well. The plan was first discussed a few weeks ago. Members will also consider auctioning off six city-owned parcels of property. The Committee meets Tuesday right before the regular Council meeting.
