Olean area flood control gets boost from New York State

Olean's Mayor has many exciting new developments to talk about concerning the city in the coming months. She had a lot to say about Govenor Cuomo's flood control project.  A new 5.2 million dollar dyke system will be updated in Olean, thanks to NYS Govonor Andrew Cuomo who announced yesterday that he has set aside money in his budget to restore and repair flood control systems in Western New York. Portville and Salamanca were also on the list recieving 2 million and 965,000 dollars respectivly. The whole flood control project adds up to about 17 million dollars.This new project will not only reduce flooding in the area but will also creat a number of jobs.
