Alleged mall attacker pleads not guilty

A Cattaraugus County man accused of sexually assaulting a woman inside a restroom at the Olean Center Mall says he’s not guilty.31 year old Spencer Golden of Allegany remains behind bars this morning. This week, he entered a not guilty plea in court to multiple felony counts contained in a Grand Jury indictment. Prosecutors say, three months ago, Golden followed a woman into a restroom at the mall where he attempted to sexually assault her. The woman’s screams foiled the attack. The DA says it happened just days after Golden was released from prison on a burglary conviction. The case has been placed on hold so attorneys can file motions.
