Port Allegany: suspected meth lab raised

A Port Allegany woman is facing felony charges after detectives from the McKean County District Attorney’s Office, Drug Task Force and the Pennsylvania State Police Clandestine Laboratory Response Team raided a residence at 63 S. Main St. in Port Allegany Wednesday. The Bradford Era reports that as a result of the search, 23-year old Sara Jones was arrested and charged with operating a meth lab…and other counts. Authorities say they discovered an active meth lab at the residence. District Attorney Ray Learn says the home was under surveillance for several weeks…and the Jones was allegedly both using and selling. More arrests are possible. Within the last several weeks, alleged meth labs have also been raised in Cuba and Wellsville.
