Grant money coming to area responders
Four partners in the Southern Tier will receive more than $70,000 in federal funds to enhance their hazardous materials teams. The funds come from both state and federal homeland security grants. The Chautauqua County regional partnership includes participation by the Seneca Nation of Indians, Allegany, Cattaraugus and Chautauqua counties. The Grant Program focuses on the development of regional partnerships to enhance hazardous materials response capabilities statewide.
