Women's Swimming and diving moved to fifth place in A-10's

BUFFALO, N.Y. - The St. Bonaventure women's swimming and diving team moved to fifth place in the second day of competition at the 2012 Atlantic 10 Championships held in the Flickinger Center Thursday night.
The Brown and White with 105 points hold a 2-point lead over Rhode Island (103) with Richmond topping the women's board with 272 points. Fordham is in second with 217 points followed by La Salle in third with 185. Rounding out the women's scoring is UMass (177), Duquesne (93), Xavier (86), George Washington (86) and St. Louis (68).
In the 500-yard freestyle freshman Rachel Bull finished in 10th place with a time of 4:58.41.
In the 200-yard IM, freshman Lauren Caldwell finished in 7th-place with a time of 2:06.30.
In the 50-yard freestyle consolation final, sophomore Jeanette Dietrich finished 16th with a time of 24.21. In the 200-yard freestyle relay, the team of Ivanna Smirnova, Dietrich, Lanae Petty, and Bull finished with a time of 1:35.09, good for a fourth place finish.
The Brown and White will begin its third day of competition at the A-10 Championships beginning at 10:30 a.m. tomorrow with the prelims followed by the finals at 6:30 p.m.
