Sandusky trial set for May 14th

Jerry Sandusky’s trial date is May 14th .  McKean County Judge John Cleland set the date this morning. Sandusky is a retired Penn State football defensive coordinator. He is facing more than 50 child sex-abuse charges involving 10 boys over a 15-year period. Sandusky wants a Centre County jury to hear his trial. The prosecution wants to bring in jurors from outside the county because many residents of Centre County work at or have some other connection to Penn State University. The judge is expected to rule soon on the in-county jury issue as well as a request by the prosecution to modify Sandusky's $250,000 property and cash bail so that he must remain inside his home under house arrest awaiting trial.
