Judge orders man to read a book

An unusual sentence handed down in McKean County court Thursday. Twenty year old Shawn Cabisca of Bradford pleaded guilty to Disorderly Conduct. He also admitted he stole a bible. Judge John Pavlock placed Cabisca on probation for a year and ordered him to complete fifty hours of community service. Further, Pavlock told the man he must read a book “…of competent literary value.”  The judge said, “ I am not forcing you to read the bible. I don’t care if you read the bible or ‘of Mice and Men’.”
