PRESS RELEASE
On February 2nd, 2012, Trooper SCOTT DIBBLE was assisting the New York State Commercial Vehicle Unit at the Ellery Overlook Rest Area on Interstate 86 with a truck inspection. A passenger in the truck, ERIK ABDRAIMOV, 22, of Munelein, Illinois, did not have proper identification and it was determined that he was in the United States illegally after confirming ABDRAIMOV’s information with U.S. Border Patrol. Border Patrol Agent (Erie, PA station) responded to the scene and took ABDRAIMOV into custody.
