Federal Judge rules on Pennsylvania primary

A federal judge in Philadelphia has rejected a state GOP bid to force the state to use the 2011 state House and Senate lines in the April 24 primary.  Senior U.S. District Judge R. Barclay Surrick said the primary election is eleven weeks away. He ordered that the elections will  proceed under the 2001 Plan. He also said last night that Federal courts must act cautiously when asked to interfere with state election matters. So the primary is on...April 24th.
