Cattaraugus County lawmakers will be asked to approve several Public Works bids this afternoon. Legislator William Aiello of Olean has questioned why more local or in-county companies aren’t involved in the bidding process. The issue extends beyond Cattaraugus. Last week, Allegany County’s Public Works committee approved spending nearing $130,000 for equipment in three separate bids…all were from outside that county as well.
